450 m³/h to meet peak demand
support
The Challenge
A German brown coal power station embarked on a major overhaul of one of their power blocks. To facilitate the restart of this block, a substantial additional demineralization solution was required. This temporary setup, with a flow rate of 450 m³/h, was needed for a ten-day period to treat boiler feed water, ensuring a conductivity of <0.1 µS/cm and silica content of <10 ppb.
The Solution
Mobile Water Solutions efficiently met the formidable water demand using reverse osmosis assets, strategically installed on four trailers and two containers. We expertly pre-treated the feed water, reducing its salinity to less than 5%. This treated water was then stored into four mobile tanks, each boasting a capacity of 70 m³.
The demineralization process occurred within four trailers, each housing two streams of cation, anion, and mixed-bed ion exchangers. Multiple pressure boosting stations were deployed to maintain optimal operating pressure throughout the operation.
Benefits
- Achieved a remarkable flow rate of 450 m³/h to meet peak demand.
- Our trained service technicians provided seamless on-site support, managing the installation and commissioning of the units without causing any disruption to the water supply.
